How long does it take to custom build a ring?
Each custom ring takes approximately 4-6 weeks to design and build. However, if you require it sooner, please get in touch and we will try out best to accommodate rush orders.
Do you accept returns?
*Please be advised that our return policy varies depending on the type of purchase/on a per client basis. For any returns to be accepted, the piece must be unworn and be brought in within 30 days of purchase.
Custom Designs - Setting & Materials
All of our engagement rings are hand crafted for each client and around the stone of their choosing. For this reason, unfortunately we cannot issue refunds on the setting portion of the order. Please call or email to discuss further if you find yourself in this spot!
Centre Diamond or Gemstone
We will provide a credit for the centre stone which can be transferred to a new diamond or gemstone within 14 days of purchasing.
On most finished goods, we’ll accept exchanges for almost anything of equal or greater value within 14 days of purchasing.
What is your warranty policy?
We offer a two year manufacturing warranty on all of our designs and will also provide one complimentary sizing, ring maintenance and cleaning.
Will you build a ring for us if we have our own diamond that we purchased online or with an heirloom stone?
For any requests regarding re-design, use of third party stones or gold, please call or email prior to booking a consultation as we only take on a handful of these requests. We understand the personal significance of every piece that comes through our doors and we want to ensure each piece is handled with care and that it is, in fact, a project we can accommodate before committing to it.
Do you work with Moissanite, Morganite or Lab Created Diamonds?
Currently we only work with genuine stones that we source. If you’re open to an alternative we would suggest white or peach sapphire or Canadian Diamonds.
What materials do you work with?
Currently our workshop is set up to work with gold (10K, 14K, 18K, 19K white/yellow and rose) and platinum. We also work with genuine diamonds and gemstones.
How often should I bring my ring in for maintenance?
We suggest bringing in your ring at least once a year to check the setting, give it a polish and a thorough cleaning.
How long will it take to resize my ring?
We will need to hold on to your ring for 7-10 days to do the sizing and we’ll also give it a clean while we’ve got it.
Repairs & Sizings for rings not from Cavalier
At this time, we are not taking on repairs for outside work as our workshop is at full capicity. We will do our best to provide a referal for a reputable local jeweller if we believe it is something they are able to assist with.
Does Cavalier offer financing?
Unfortunately we do not offer financing. We do however allow orders to be paid for in instalments while your ring is being built. We just ask that the ring is fully paid for before it leaves the shop.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, checks, bank wire transfers and WeChat Pay. If you are interested in an alternate form of payment, please get in touch with us.
Do we need to make an appointment?
We encourage everyone to book an appointment Monday-Friday and Saturdays are generally reserved for walk-ins.
Do you provide insurance?
All custom rings valued over $4,000 will come with a complimentary appraisal done by a reputable third party appraiser. We do not provide insurance through Cavalier however, once your ring has been appraised we suggest giving the documentation to your current insurance provider. If you do not have insurance, we will happily provide a referral to a local company we trust. We highly recommend having your ring appraised and insured in the case of loss or damage.
Do you work with clients who don’t live in Vancouver?
Don't live in Vancouver? That's ok, we can still make it work. All of our rings are custom designed for each client - From style, stones, finger size and desired material, that's up to you.
